Via Gómez Xalmet was opened in 1957 and has become a classic due to its logical route and moderate grade. The best season to enjoy this climb is autumn and spring. The route mainly runs through large dihedrals that are comfortable to climb on very good quality rock. From the 2nd long we will feel the emptiness under our feet accompanied by an atmosphere of tranquility and pleasant temperature. To get down we will do a 20m rappel and return through the hermitage of Sant Salvador. Available for the coldest days of the year because it faces the southern slope and is protected from the wind. The guide will supervise the activity at all times and lead the rope from start to finish.
The Program We will stay at the Montserrat Monastery at 9:00 and head towards Sant Benet (30' on foot from the Monastery). Before starting the climb, there will be a review of the personal equipment and a review of the safety rules. The technician will lead the line from start to finish. In case of adverse weather forecast or change of plans, the guide will choose the most suitable route in order to adjust the level of difficulty and enjoy the experience to the maximum.
